1840
Jean Dellenbach, a former farmer from Rotenberg purchased the land from Sébastien Ehrhardt's widow, and built house on it.

1861
The house became the property of Jean's son.

1887
On 19 September, the house burned down. The establishment was re-built the same year by Henri Farny. Located opposite a tram station, it became known as the "Farny Restaurant" and found itself the privileged waiting room for a considerable number of tram’s passengers from that point on!

1921
Joseph Sperry became the owner of the premises which he ran for one year before leaving to try his luck in the United States. During his absence, he rented out the establishment to Paul Walbourg, a former Hotel management student who built the Belle-vue hotel 4 years later.

1930
On his return from the United States, Joseph Sperry came back to work at his brasserie.

1938
Following the death of Joseph Sperry, his widow and son sold the property to the Cave Coopérative de Ribeauvillé (a cooperative wine merchant). After a complete transformation, the former brasserie known as the Restaurant du Parc became the Zahnacker restaurant…
